School Board Meeting: Final Budget

A special meeting will be held at the East Stroudsburg High School North on Monday, May 21, 2012 at 7:00 pm to approve the proposed District's final budget for 2012-2013.

In an effort to make up for a $10 million short fall, the budget proposes increasing taxes by 2.4 percent in both Monroe and Pike counties and includes a $100.00 fee per child for any after school activities as well as cuts in staff.

ALERT! Under Construction

Several construction projects will begin soon and we must ask for your patience and cooperation while the jobs are in progress.  Specifically, the VIP Tennis Courts will be resurfaced and a new Recreation Pavilion will be built at the VIP Softball field.  These projects will require closure of the amenities and may temporarily reduce the number of parking spaces.  In addition, a new back gate at Kirkham Road will be under construction.  This will result in temporary relocation of the bus stop and possible changes in traffic lanes.  Watch for more information soon!

While these projects are in progress, please avoid the construction areas.  Public Safety will provide additional coverage during school bus loading/unloading times to assist with parking, traffic and any potential safety issues.  We look forward to completing these projects as quickly as possible with minimal inconvenience to our residents.
