From Ice Age mastodons to American Indians the area around Saw Creek has had an interesting history.
1000 AD /
The Saw Creek Estates area was inhabited principally by groups belonging linguistically to the Algonquians, who occupied a more extended area than any other linguistic stock in North America. An important tribe within this group was the Lenni-Lenape, or 'original people,' known historically as the Delaware.
1737 /
Daniel Brodhead was born April 23, 1693, in Marbletown, N.Y.
In 1737, Brodhead purchased land in present-day East Stroudsburg
1856 /
Arrival of the Delaware, Lackawanna, and Western Railroad
1976 /
Construction begins on Saw Creek Estates and sales were brisk!
1980 /
Early branding of Saw Creek Estates and this logo was used in brochures and ads. Life before the internet and websites!
1986 /
In 1986 a billboard along the highway says it all. 10 years and still growing. Just like today.
1999 /
Saw Creek Estates named Best Association and other awards begin to be bestowed upon the community. A tradition that continues today.
2010 /
Saw Creek expands the ski hill with new snow making equipment becoming the most complete private ski mountain in the Poconos. Chair lifts with 3 trails. Nice!
2012 /
The largest waterparks in the country open nearby Saw Creek Estates making the area one of the hottest recreational areas with skiing, waterparks, outdoor activities, boating, rafting down the Delaware, zip lines, snowtubeing, horseback riding, go-kart racing, NASCAR and so much more!
2018 /
Saw Creek Estates continues to be a financially strong community with outstanding amenities. New homes are still being built and we keep getting better and better!
2021 / April
Saw Creek Estates celebrates its 20th year Anniversary!
